Project Manager / Estimator

Job Summary
Review client requirements, site conditions, and drawings to develop accurate project scopes and estimates. Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions and prepare competitive proposals, budgets, and tender submissions for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building automation projects. Manage projects from award through completion, coordinating internal resources, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure safe delivery on time and within budget. Monitor schedules, costs, and financial performance while reviewing purchase orders, change orders, and project documentation. Serve as the primary client contact, fostering relationships with building owners and consultants while identifying opportunities for additional services and business growth.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in estimating, project management, or building service operations within the commercial, industrial, or institutional construction industry
- Demonstrated experience with HVAC and Plumbing systems
- Post-secondary education in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline
- Strong understanding of commercial and institutional building systems and service operations
- Experience preparing estimates and managing project budgets and financial performance
- Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents
- Experience coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders
- Strong project planning, organizational, and communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software
- Commitment to safety, quality, and customer service excellence
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Electrical, Building Automation Systems (BAS), Controls, or Mechanical Service projects
- PMP designation or progress toward certification
- Gold Seal Certification
- Red Seal certification in Plumbing or HVAC
- CET, P.Eng., or other relevant technical designation
- Experience using CMMS, ERP, or service management software
- Experience supporting facility operations and maintenance environments
- Knowledge of energy efficiency, sustainability, and decarbonization projects
