Job Summary
Industrial Project Manager/Estimator responsible for end-to-end project execution and estimating in environments where drawings are scarce. Lead cost estimation for industrial projects with field input, perform site visits, price pipe runs, rigging, crane picks, roof penetrations, and outages, and develop detailed proposals using Excel-based workflows. Manage full project lifecycle from scope development to closeout, coordinate with field personnel, fabricators, designers, and subcontractors, and support outage planning. Engage with existing clients and collaborate with business development to pursue new leads, identify upsell opportunities, and grow account portfolios. Requires strong mechanical aptitude, capability to interpret customer intent with minimal specification, and effective communication to earn customer trust.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial estimation, project management, or field operations
- Demonstrated ability to estimate projects without drawings, interpreting customer intent and field conditions independently
- Hands-on experience with industrial work including pipe fitting, rigging, crane operations, structural fabrication, or related disciplines
- Strong mechanical aptitude with a deep understanding of the difference between industrial and commercial construction environments
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for estimating; willingness to learn custom ERP systems
- Excellent communication skills — able to build trust with customers who provide minimal specification and expect independent problem-solving
