Job Summary
Project Estimator and Project Manager duties in heavy civil construction. Responsibilities include preparing and submitting estimates in accordance with contract documents, understanding plans/specs/scope, mentoring/supervising Project Engineers and Assistant Estimators (RFPs to subs and vendors), coordinating quantity take-offs, reviewing subcontractor and vendor quotes, attending project hand-off meetings, managing project costs, tracking costs and submitting pay applications, resolving issues, and preparing change orders and RFI responses. Additional duties include coordinating with KE&G, subs, and owners, leading project meetings, and ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and productivity. Required infrastructure experience includes highways, roadways, bridges, underground utilities, earthwork, concrete, paving, wastewater/water treatment facilities, JOC project experience preferred, and site development expertise. Physical work range includes working in both office and active construction sites with varying weather and potential extended hours. The role emphasizes longevity in prior roles, leadership, mentorship, and a commitment to growth and collaboration in KE&G’s ESOP-focused environment.
