Job Summary
Estimator/Project Manager to support construction operations for a local healthcare facility. Responsibilities include managing all facets of construction and leasing project management (budget, schedule, procurement, quality, risk) from predesign to occupancy and closeout; developing and maintaining work breakdown structures and schedules; reviewing and reconciling payment applications and invoices; coordinating with VA Engineering staff, Contractors, and hospital personnel; ensuring timeline, budget, patient safety, regulatory compliance, and operational readiness; occupancy planning with move schedules, cost estimates, and inventory lists; managing projects for leased sites. Required qualifications include 5+ years of construction management on large-scale projects ($10M+), a four-year degree in Architecture/Engineering/Construction Management (or equivalent), AutoCAD proficiency (REVIT preferred), a valid Real ID, strong communication skills, knowledge of OSHA/EPA/safety regulations, ability to estimate costs and negotiate changes, experience with federal and local government projects, and ability to pass drug test and background checks.
Required Qualifications
- Five (5) or more years of experience in construction management on projects valued $10 million or greater
- Graduate of a four-year degree in Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management (or equivalent experience)
- AutoCAD proficiency with REVIT proficiency preferred
- Possession of a valid Real ID is required
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing
- Knowledge of construction practices and techniques and installation methods in relevant discipline(s)
- Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and local health and safety laws
- Ability to calculate construction costs for changes and negotiate equitable adjustments
- Ability to inspect materials, workmanship, and installations
- Experience with Federal and local government building projects and related procedures/review/approval requirements
- Must be able to pass a drug test and thorough background check for access onto a military installation
