Job Summary
Lead environmental projects for private-sector clients in mining and natural resource development, managing planning, execution, and delivery while focusing on budget, schedule, quality, and contractual commitments. Direct federal, state, and local permitting efforts and negotiate scope change orders with clients and subcontractors. Build and guide high-performing project teams, monitor performance, and mentor members. Support client leaders with proposal development and cultivate long-term relationships. Requires a Bachelor's in Engineering or Science, five years of project management experience, and up to 20% travel. Based in a Midwest location, ideally Green Bay, WI, Minneapolis, MN, Duluth, MN, Milwaukee, WI, or Madison, WI.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science, or applicable technical discipline
- 5 years of project management experience working with complex multidisciplinary projects
- Must be able to work out of one of our Midwest locations, ideally Green Bay, WI, Minneapolis, MN, Duluth, MN, Milwaukee, WI or Madison, WI
- Must be available for up to 20% travel
Desired Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience working in the consulting engineering industry
- 5 years of experience managing mining related projects, which may include: mine planning, mine optimization, milling, tailings management, reclamation, preparation of scoping and trade-off studies, feasibility studies, permitting, and natural resource assessments
- Professional registration or certification in project management
- Previous experience developing project business opportunities
- Prior experience with National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) process and documentation
- Previous experience with mine permitting, mine operations, environmental assessments, water resources, or large site development projects
