Job Summary
Manage civil engineering projects for Iowa municipal clients by conducting client relations, planning, scoping, budgeting, and QA/QC. Design public works infrastructure including roads, utilities, and wastewater systems while preparing plans, specifications, bidding documents, and technical reports. Administer construction administration and assist in mentoring junior engineering staff. Obtain regulatory permits and ensure compliance with Iowa regulations. This role requires a PE license and 5+ years of public works experience. Flexible working arrangements and flex time are available.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or related)
- 5+ years of prior experience within the Public Works market serving multiple clients
- Experience in managing multiple projects and client needs
- The selected candidate must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future
Desired Qualifications
- PE license
- Extensive knowledge of regulations and requirements within Iowa
- Experience with funding and grants available to municipalities
