Job Summary
Manage electrical, mechanical, and structural design teams on water/wastewater infrastructure projects for public utility and private clients. Lead planning, design, and construction phases while coordinating with engineering disciplines, technicians, inspectors, and permitting specialists. Schedule personnel, communicate project expectations to the MEPS Infrastructure team and clients, and prepare design proposals to support project pursuits. Apply earned value and quality management principles to monitor work plans, schedules, and budgets, overseeing deliverable submission across all disciplines. Contribute to MEPS Infrastructure growth through conference attendance, professional publications, and participation in state and national associations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
- 8+ years of progressive design and project management experience
- minimum 5+ years in the water/wastewater market
- Accomplished Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Florida, North Carolina, Virginia, or ability to obtain them through reciprocity within 90 days of start date
- Experience coordinating engineering work and interfacing with other disciplines as needed
- Experience interfacing with clients
- Self-motivated with highly developed verbal, written and interpersonal skills
- Well organized, with good understanding of electrical, mechanical, and process control systems with general knowledge of applicable codes, national standards, water/wastewater equipment and plant operation, space requirements, and cost
