Job Summary
Manage the design and implementation of health programmes and operational activities in Aswan, Elminya, and Kafr Elsheikh, ensuring grant delivery aligns with donor contractual requirements and budget lines. Coordinate with the Ministry of Health, Expertise France, and local government departments to oversee project planning, procurement, and supply chain distribution. Lead recruitment, performance management, and capacity building for field staff while developing and executing safety and security procedures across multiple locations. This fixed-term role supports Save the Children's primary health care system strengthening initiative, focusing on training community health workers and piloting inclusive models for refugees and migrants within the national health insurance rollout. The position requires flexibility during humanitarian emergencies and adherence to rigorous child safeguarding protocols.
Required Qualifications
- University Degree in Medicine
- Minimum 7 years' experience in management positions, managing integrated multi sector or multi-locations programs
- Strong result based management experience
- Budget management experience including institutional donors
- Demonstrable experience of MEAL and beneficiary accountability
- Strong experience in dealing with government officials at both strategic and operational levels
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills including influencing, advocacy, negotiation and coaching
- Strong results orientation, with the ability to challenge existing mind-sets
- Experience working through/with sub grants and partners is a requirement
- Experience with capacity building of local partners and communities
- Fluency in English with strong written and oral communication skills
- The capacity and willingness to be flexible and accommodating in difficult working circumstances
- Commitment to the aims and principles of SC
- a good understanding of the SC mandate and child focus and an ability to ensure this continues to underpin our support
Desired Qualifications
- Professional expertise in one of the Save the Children program areas is preferable
