Job Summary
Project Manager needed to support field construction activities for facility upgrades, renovations, and modifications at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL). Focused on executing field construction activities within active nuclear facilities, coordinating craft activities, supervising multiple disciplines, conducting pre-job briefings, interfacing with union foremen, ensuring health/safety/environmental/quality compliance, and maintaining project schedules using Primavera P6. Responsibilities include leading field execution, coordinating materials/equipment/tools, interpreting drawings/blueprints, leading constructability reviews, investigating incidents, and ensuring effective communication with management and stakeholders. Requires 10+ years of experience (5+ in construction/maintenance/field supervision) with nuclear project exposure, leadership capabilities, and ability to work night/weekend shifts; DOE Q clearance eligibility and US citizenship are required.
Required Qualifications
- 10 years of work experience with 5+ years in construction, maintenance, facility operations, or field supervision
- Nuclear project or operational experience required
- Experience leading facility upgrades, renovations, modifications, or maintenance projects in an operating facility environment
- Leadership and supervisory skills with ability to organize, direct, and coordinate craft personnel and subcontractors
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, piping, and construction drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications
- Basic understanding of Earned Value Management System (EVMS)
- Basic understanding of Control Account Manager role and reporting requirements
- Ability to establish and maintain strong and effective customer engagement
- Must be available to work night and weekend work schedules, and overtime as required
- United States Citizenship
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q security clearance
