Project Manager - Dynamic Traffic

Job Summary
Lead technical traffic analysis assignments and supervise production for traffic studies, engineering design, and operations contracts. Develop project objectives, timelines, and budgets while preparing technical reports on traffic impact, parking, and safety analyses. Conduct client communications, attend public hearings, and provide testimony. Supervise engineers and sub-consultants, offer quality control oversight, and serve as the technical liaison for project efforts. Assist with major project pursuits, identify potential projects, and develop strategies to win new business. Oversee operational analysis using CORSIM, HCS, SYNCHRO, and VISSIM. Partner with the Principal for new transportation planning and traffic engineering contracts. Participate in the local Institute of Transportation Engineers chapter to increase community exposure.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
- 7 + years of experience in traffic/transportation engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration
- Valid Driver's License
- ability to maintain and operate a personal and/or company vehicle
- Experience dealing with regulatory agencies and review professionals
- Traffic Signal design and timing experience
- Signing and Striping Plans
- Maintenance and Protection of Traffic
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Software including Word, Excel, Outlook and Project
- Familiar with AutoCAD
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Independent and critical thinking abilities
- Superior organizational and delegation ability
- Ability to work and lead in a team oriented environment with a focus on staff development and mentoring
- Client management experience
- Experience in managing complex programs and projects
- Proven leadership ability
