Job Summary
Lead project management for Land Development, Stormwater, Water, and Erosion Control design teams, overseeing budgets, staffing, and deadline-driven deliverables. Manage client relationships, prepare technical proposals, and guide regulatory permitting across federal, state, and local agencies. Balance workload and mentor staff while driving business growth and ensuring projects complete on schedule and budget. Maintain regional leadership presence through civic and professional organization involvement. Requires a PE license and experience in Civil Site Engineering, Hydrologic design, and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
- 7+ years' experience in Civil Site Engineering (residential, institutional, industrial, and/or commercial site design and permitting experience)
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration required (or ability to obtain PE license within 1 year of employment)
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to maintain and operate personal and/or company vehicle
- Familiar with AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Knowledge of Truck and Turning & Modeling software
- In depth knowledge of the planning and zoning processes
- Knowledge of Hydrologic and Hydraulic Stormwater Design
- Proficient in design and drafting capabilities
- Proficient grading and drainage design skills
- Utility design experience including pump station and force mains
- Experience dealing with regulatory agencies and review professionals
- Proficient in the use of available mapping websites for due diligence and site investigation purposes
- Construction oversight experience for site work
- Proficient in the use of the following design tools for site engineering: AutoCAD Civil3D, Hydrology Software i.e. ICPR and Cascade
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Software including Word, Excel, Outlook and Project
- Proficient in the use of Bluebeam Revu and/or Adobe to prepare design document markups
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Independent and critical thinking abilities
- Superior organizational and delegation ability
- Ability to work and lead in a team-oriented environment with a focus on staff development and mentoring
- Client management experience
