Job Summary
Manage project delivery for Land Development, Stormwater, Water/Sewer, and Erosion/Sedimentation design projects, ensuring on-schedule and on-budget completion. Lead teams by balancing workloads, supervising staff, and mentoring personnel in a deadline-driven environment. Drive business growth through proposal preparation, technical presentations to regulatory boards, and building client relationships. Handle financial management including accounts receivable and budget monitoring while maintaining presence in regional civic and professional organizations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
- 7+ years' experience in Civil Site Engineering (residential, institutional, industrial, and/or commercial site design and permitting experience)
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration required (or ability to obtain PE license within 1 year of employment)
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to maintain and operate personal and/or company vehicle
- Familiar with AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Knowledge of Truck and Turning & Modeling software
- In depth knowledge of the planning and zoning processes
- Knowledge of Hydrologic and Hydraulic Stormwater Design
- Proficient in design and drafting capabilities
- Proficient grading and drainage design skills
- Utility design experience including pump station and force mains
- Experience dealing with regulatory agencies and review professionals
- Proficient in the use of available mapping websites for due diligence and site investigation purposes
- Construction oversight experience for site work
- Proficient in the use of the following design tools for site engineering: AutoCAD Civil3D, Hydrology Software i.e. ICPR and Cascade
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Software including Word, Excel, Outlook and Project
- Proficient in the use of Bluebeam Revu and/or Adobe to prepare design document markups
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Independent and critical thinking abilities
- Superior organizational and delegation ability
- Ability to work and lead in a team-oriented environment with a focus on staff development and mentoring
- Client management experience
