Job Summary
Manage project delivery for Land Development, Stormwater, Water, and Erosion Control designs while balancing workload in a deadline-driven environment. Lead project plans, deliverables, and dependencies to ensure on-schedule, on-budget completion and drive profitability through financial management, budget monitoring, and loss prevention. Prepare technical proposals, present to regulatory boards, and maintain client relationships across federal, state, and local permitting processes. Mentor staff, guide business development, and provide vision for the firm's project management strategy. Requires PE registration, 7+ years in Civil Site Engineering, and proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and hydraulic design tools.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
- 7+ years' experience in Civil Site Engineering (residential, institutional, industrial, and/or commercial site design and permitting experience)
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to maintain and operate personal and/or company vehicle
- Familiar with AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Knowledge of Truck and Turning & Modeling software
- In depth knowledge of the planning and zoning processes
- Knowledge of Hydrologic and Hydraulic Stormwater Design
- Proficient in design and drafting capabilities
- Proficient grading and drainage design skills
- Utility design experience including pump station and force mains
- Experience dealing with regulatory agencies and review professionals
- Proficient in the use of available mapping websites for due diligence and site investigation purposes
- Construction oversight experience for site work
- Proficient in the use of the following design tools for site engineering: AutoCAD Civil3D, Hydrology Software i.e. Hydraflow, HydroCAD, PondPack, Hydraulic Software i.e. Hydraflow, StormCAD, Storm and Sanitary Analysis (SSA), HEC-RAS
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Software including Word, Excel, Outlook and Project
- Proficient in the use of Bluebeam Revu and/or Adobe to prepare design document markups
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Independent and critical thinking abilities
- Superior organizational and delegation ability
- Ability to work and lead in a team-oriented environment with a focus on staff development and mentoring
- Client management experience
