Job Summary
Project Manager for Nicewood (architectural millwork division of a commercial construction company) owns the full lifecycle of millwork projects from drawing review and fabrication milestones through shipping and delivery. You will coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors externally, and with CAD engineers, production management, and shop floor internally. Responsibilities include overseeing shop drawing production, updating drawing sets to reflect client specifications, developing and tracking project schedules and budgets (material costs, labor estimates, vendor pricing), conducting field dimensioning on site, performing shop floor walkthroughs to verify fabrication against drawings, coordinating shipping logistics, and managing change orders and revisions with clear documentation and stakeholder communication. Required skills include reading and interpreting architectural/shop drawings and engineering documents, owning schedules, procurement and vendor management, strong written/verbal communication, proficiency with AutoCAD or similar software, a compliance/quality mindset, and the ability to stay organized under multiple concurrent projects.
Required Qualifications
- Project coordination or management experience in architectural millwork, custom fabrication, commercial construction, or a closely related field
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, shop drawings, and engineering documents
- Hands-on schedule ownership and timeline management
- Procurement and vendor management experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Technical proficiency with AutoCAD or similar design software
- A compliance and quality mindset with attention to fabrication standards
- Organizational discipline under pressure
