Job Summary
Senior Project Manager at DASNY oversees all aspects of construction projects, represents the agency to client agencies, develops and monitors project scope, budget and schedule, coordinates bid advertising and contract awards, manages design and construction consultants, monitors drawings and specifications, ensures contractor compliance, and leads communications and reporting across internal teams and client stakeholders. The role requires driving procurement processes, contract management (including change orders and payments), monitoring project deliverables, coordinating site activities and field staff, and applying quality controls to ensure alignment with project documents. Minimum qualifications include a bachelor's degree with multiple paths for related experience and supervisory experience; strong written and oral communication, planning, and organizational skills; and familiarity with construction-management software and scheduling tools. Preferred qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in construction-related field, NYS Professional Engineer or Architect license, supervisory experience, and experience with Oracle Contract Manager, PMWeb, and P6 scheduling. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree plus five years of relevant construction industry experience and two years of supervisory experience
- Associate's degree plus five years’ experience as either a DASNY Field Representative or DASNY Senior Assistant Project Manager and two years supervisory experience or successful completion of designated supervisor training during probationary period
- Associate’s degree plus ten years of relevant construction industry experience and two years supervisory experience or successful completion of designated supervisory training during probation
- High school diploma plus seven years’ experience as either a DASNY Field Representative or DASNY Senior Assistant Project Manager and two years supervisory experience or successful completion of designated supervisor training during probationary period
- High School diploma plus fifteen years of relevant construction industry experience and two years supervisory experience
