Job Summary
Project Manager for New Product Development in the firearms industry. Lead cross-functional teams to drive concept-to-commercialization for new products, ensuring stage-gate adherence, on-time/on-spec/on-cost delivery, and alignment with product objectives. Drive risk management, scope and requirements management, and maintain comprehensive project plans, budgets, and documentation. Collaborate with engineering, sales, and marketing to identify opportunities, monitor market trends, and ensure compliance with laws and standards. Travel to manage external vendor relationships and project timelines; foster a collaborative IPT environment and uphold safety, quality, and productivity standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Statistics, Project Management, or a related technical field
- Previous Technical, Manufacturing and/or Design Project Management experience in new product development
- Stage-gate processes and methodologies understanding
- Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple projects
- Proficiency with project management tools (MS Project, Trello, SolidWorks Manage)
- PMP certification or equivalent is preferred
- Firearms industry familiarity a plus
