Job Summary
Project Manager (Custodial) oversees janitorial staff and client sites, supervising hiring, scheduling, training, discipline, and timekeeping while managing budgets, inventory, safety (OSHA, PPE), and contract compliance. Responsibilities include planning and forecasting staffing, ensuring quality and customer satisfaction, conducting safety training and incidents reporting, maintaining SDS and safety compliance, and delivering regular reporting on site performance. Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent 8+ years related experience), 1+ years janitorial experience, 5+ years supervisory experience, strong communication and leadership skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office; driving is required for site travel. Schedule is flexible; location is the Richard Bolling Federal Building, Kansas City, MO.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or minimum 8 years relevant experience in lieu of a degree
- Minimum of 1+ years of janitorial experience
- At least 5 years of supervisory experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Criminal background checks and various state/federal registry checks
- Valid driver’s license; 21+ to drive
- Must pass pre-employment tests (Word, Excel)
