Job Summary
Plan, organize, and staff key field positions while monitoring construction through administrative direction of an on-site superintendent to ensure projects are built on schedule and within budget. Investigate construction, existing condition, or design issues and implement corrective measures. Coordinate with in-house Preconstruction, Architects, Engineers, and Owners through the design process, prepare subcontracts and purchase orders, and maintain project schedules. Assist with project pursuit and procurement, including RFQ responses and interviews. Manage the project team by providing assignments, leading, and training junior members while tracking task completion. Uphold safety as the most important goal, investigate and document all accidents, and ensure vehicle fleet and equipment are maintained per company policy. This traveling role requires visits to various California construction sites and exposure to outdoor elements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management/Sciences, Engineering (civil, electrical, mechanical, building science, etc.) or related discipline
- 8+ years of work experience in project management, contracting, engineering, or construction management
- Past leadership experience
- Valid driver's license and ability to be insured
- Majority of jobsites are in California
