Project Manager – Construction (Wind Turbine Plant)

Job Summary
Lead all on-site activities for the construction of a new Wind Turbine Plant in Duqm, Oman, serving as the primary authority from design through commissioning. Develop comprehensive schedules, budgets, and resource allocations while overseeing permitting, bidding, procurement, and execution. Supervise daily operations to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, quality standards, and safety protocols, enforcing strict quality control and resolving challenges like weather delays or supply chain disruptions. Manage a diverse team of contractors and consultants, liaise with government agencies and investors, and monitor costs to maintain financial health. Negotiate vendor contracts, mitigate risks, and maintain accurate documentation including RFIs and daily logs. Full-time on-site presence required with flexibility for extended hours or weekends.
Required Qualifications
- 10–15+ years of proven experience in the construction industry
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- Minimum 10–15 years in the construction industry
- At least 5 years in plant construction or renewable energy projects (wind/solar)
- Proven track record managing complex projects valued at $150M or more
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, MEP systems, and engineering practices
- Proficiency in project management software such as Primavera P6, MS Project, and basic design review tools (AutoCAD, Bluebeam, etc.)
- Strong leadership, team coordination, and mentoring abilities
- Excellent negotiation and conflict-resolution skills
- Effective written and verbal communication, including stakeholder reporting
- Sharp analytical thinking and decisiveness under pressure
- Full-time presence on-site in Duqm, Oman
- Flexibility to work extended hours or weekends when needed to meet critical deadlines
Desired Qualifications
- Experience managing renewable energy projects, particularly wind turbine or solar power plants, and large-scale industrial facilities
- Master's degree
- PMP, CCM, or equivalent professional certifications
