Project Manager - Construction Staking

Job Summary
Manage project scope, schedule, and budget while monitoring time charges to keep projects within budget. Review contract deliverables, recognize scope changes, and negotiate price or schedule adjustments with leadership. Make final decisions on survey and staking technical matters, review deliverables for quality control, and coordinate submittals with local municipalities. Provide status updates to stakeholders, maintain close client contact, and foster long-term relationships. Communicate technical advice to resolve problems, follow geomatics standards, and assess potential hazards in the field. This role requires 8+ years of experience, including 2+ years as an Assistant Project Manager, and a license as a professional land surveyor for construction staking positions.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 8+ years of experience
- at least two years in the role of Assistant Project Manager
- License as a professional land surveyor (in the case of construction staking only, licensure may not be required if significant expertise and 5+ years of experience in the role of Assistant Project Manager have been achieved)
- Construction Staking Experience
- Must be able to carry, lift and push/pull up to 5 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally
- Must be able to carry, lift and push/pull up to 50 or higher pounds
- Must have the ability to see, smell, hear, talk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel and twist, crouch, crawl, reach, grasp, sit, stand, and walk
- Must have visual acuity for viewing a computer screen, the ability to talk, hear and sit for extended periods of time
Desired Qualifications
- AAS or BS degree preferred
- Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and Carlson software
- Experience with Excel, Word, Outlook
- Knowledge of web-based programs such as municipal GIS and county register of deeds sites
