Project Manager (Commercial Construction)

Job Summary
Manage client expectations, lead project teams, and ensure project document control remains current. Prepare cost proposals, change orders, and develop project budgets while overseeing accounting functions, owner billings, and subcontractor progress payments. Develop and manage CPM schedules, coordinate with architects, designers, and field personnel, and monitor subcontractor procurement, budget adherence, and billings. Requires four-year degree in construction management, strong understanding of construction methods and regulations, and proficiency in MS Project. Valid driver's license required. Experience with school bond programs, Procore, or healthcare sectors is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Commercial and/or Public Works experience managing multiple construction projects or a single larger and complex project
- Strong understanding about current construction methods, materials, and regulations
- Ability to work under pressure and coordinate numerous activities and groups of people who need to cooperate to achieve maximum efficiency
- Must have good communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
- Fluent in Microsoft Office Suite and MS Project scheduling (or other scheduling software)
- A valid driver's license and acceptable driving history
Desired Qualifications
- Graduates of a four-year degree program in construction management, construction science, or other industry-related degree programs preferred
- Previous experience working on projects as part of a larger school bond program (ie. SDUSD, LAUSD, etc.)
- Procore project management software experience
- Higher Education market sector experience
- Healthcare market experience
