Job Summary
Oversee all aspects of planning and implementing commercial construction projects, including MEP systems and subcontractors. Review plans and specifications for design and constructability issues, then build positive relationships with internal teams, customers, and vendors. Coordinate with pre-construction, sales, safety, and fabrication shops to develop construction schedules, scope vendor quotes, issue subcontracts, and manage fabrication timelines. Monitor key metrics daily, mentor site leadership, and prepare project budgets, revenue forecasts, and cash flow analyses. Identify scope changes, prepare pricing, and submit change orders while developing recovery plans for safety, quality, or production issues. Ensure projects meet financial goals with no defects or accidents. Bachelor's degree in engineering, 10 years mechanical or electrical contracting experience, and proficiency in Procore required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering
- 7-10 years project management experience and/or equivalent combination of vocational training and experience
- At least 10 years mechanical or electrical contracting experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to apply innovative and effective management techniques
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Must be a self-starter
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision
- Must be able to follow written and oral instructions
- Must show attention to detail
- Must demonstrate problem-solving skills
- Must be able to correctly identify all colors of a color-coded cable/wires
- Must have close vision
- Must have distance vision
- Must have depth perception
- Must have peripheral vision
- Must have the ability to adjust focus
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be available to work assigned schedules
- Must adhere to all company policy and procedures
Desired Qualifications
- Lean six sigma black belt certification
- Familiarity with the BIM process
- Prior experience with Procore - Project Management System
- Prior military experience
