Job Summary
Develop and maintain project plans, milestones, resource requirements, budgets, and risk profiles for complex, cross-functional initiatives on behalf of Coal Mines Insurance and the broader Coal Services transformation portfolio. Coordinate internal and external resources while managing competing priorities, ensuring projects meet schedule, budget, and quality standards within the approved governance framework. Proactively manage risks, issues, and dependencies across workstreams, advising sponsors and the PMO of potential concerns. Build strong stakeholder relationships and prepare reports for governance forums to drive tangible business value. This full-time fixed-term role offers 24 months of employment in a supportive, independent environment with flexible hybrid arrangements in Sydney.
Required Qualifications
- Relevant tertiary qualifications
- Minimum 5–8 years' experience delivering complex, multi-workstream projects
- Demonstrated experience working within complex, matrix or enterprise environments
- Experience delivering transformation, process improvement, digital or system change projects
- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and external vendors
- Insurance industry experience is essential
- Workers Compensation or broader financial services experience will be highly regarded
- Strong project planning, financial management and governance experience
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organisation
- Strong commercial acumen, problem-solving and decision-making capability
- Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities and multiple workstreams
- Self-motivated, resilient and committed to delivering tangible business outcomes
- Permanent roles are open only to Australian and New Zealand Permanent Residents or Citizens
- Visa holders with unlimited right to work in Australia will be considered for Fixed Term Contracts
