Job Summary
Project Manager responsible for reviewing proposals to determine time frame and procedures, directing the overall construction project from budget through closeout, managing costs to maximize profitability, resolving daily issues to maintain safety and timeliness, addressing conflicts in contracts and specifications, identifying value engineering opportunities, preparing management and customer reports, handling change orders, and developing a QAS/QC plan with defined responsibilities; requires 5+ years of construction project management experience, rebar/concrete/general contracting familiarity, ability to read contract documents, strong cost control and financial acumen, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and proficiency in MS Office. Education preferred in Construction Management, Engineering, or Business Administration; opportunity for training and advancement within a Fortune 500 company with comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years experience with managing large construction projects
- Rebar, concrete, and general contracting experience, highly preferred
- Ability to read and understand contract documents and drawings
- Solid understanding of project costs/cost control with strong financial and business acumen
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal
- Strong scheduling, planning, organizing, problem solving, time managing, and prioritizing work skills
- Proficient in MS Office programs – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field, preferred
