Job Summary
Project Manager (Clearing & Program Experience) within TMX GTS Office. Leads planning, delivery, and execution across the full project lifecycle using TMX standards, ensuring on-time, on-budget, high-quality delivery with client-focused outcomes. Responsibilities include defining scope with senior management, estimating resources and costs, building integrated plans, developing schedules, monitoring budgets and timelines, managing documentation and approvals, providing status reporting, and leading the project team through re-estimations and governance gates. Requires extensive experience delivering financial-institution initiatives in regulated environments, PMO governance of the PMLC, end-to-end delivery (business and IT), and strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management skills. Hybrid work arrangement (2–3 days/week in the Toronto, ON office). Nice-to-have PMP certification and Experience with Workday PPM; salary range CAD 100–120 per hour. The role emphasizes SDLC, Iterative and Agile methodologies, and delivering complex, multi-vendor projects with a focus on audit-ready processes and template improvements. The position is based in Toronto with a strong emphasis on project performance metrics, governance, and continuous improvement across TMX’s PM practices.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years’ experience delivering on business driven initiatives for Financial Institutions in a regulated environment related to Clearing Systems
- Experience working in a project management office governing the PMLC practice
- End to end project delivery experience (business and IT) for projects > $2M
- University/undergraduate degree in related discipline or equivalent PM work experience in financial services
- Ability to navigate and deliver within a fully matrixed environment that is complex and somewhat ambiguous
- Demonstrated leadership and ability to motivate/manage teams
- Excellent written and verbal communications
- Background delivering projects using SDLC, Iterative and Agile methodologies
- Excellent relationship building and partnerships
- Experience with regulators and external clients
