Job Summary
Lead all activities related to contract administration, change orders, procurement, schedule, and financial reporting. Oversee permits and insurance verification for subcontractors. Facilitate project meetings to coordinate work, lead, train, and develop project team members, and prepare monthly status reports. Manage project close-out including turnover of manuals and warranties and final payment documents for subs. Build positive relationships with owners, engineering and design firms; drive a safety culture on site; participate in proposals and presentations to support new work; recruit and develop top industry talent; ensure compliance with Clark Construction standards and policies; perform in a physically demanding, on-site construction environment.
Required Qualifications
- Undergraduate or graduate degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, a related discipline, or relevant work experience
- 4+ years of construction experience required
- working for a general contractor on large-scale construction projects is highly preferred
- 2+ years leading, developing, and motivating teams
- Understanding of the strategic, operational, and financial components of a construction project
- Ability to make timely and effective decisions
- Experience managing projects successfully from start to finish
- Skilled at developing and negotiating relationships with owners and trade contractors
- Strong work ethic, leadership, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- DBIA and/or LEED Accreditation (preferred)
- Proactive in safety, compliance with policies and procedures
- Ability to recruit top industry talent
- Effective communication with owners, engineers, and design firms
- Knowledge of permits and insurance requirements for subcontractors
- Preparation of final payment documents for subcontractors
- Ability to prepare and submit monthly status reports
- Project close-out and turnover processes
- Proposal and presentation participation
