Job Summary
Manage multiple heavy civil construction projects from award through completion, overseeing earthwork, roadway construction, bridges, and public infrastructure. Develop schedules, budgets, and forecasts while coordinating with owners, engineers, subcontractors, and field operations. Lead project meetings, review drawings and change orders, and negotiate subcontract agreements and purchase orders. Monitor costs, productivity, and profitability to ensure safety, quality, and schedule objectives are met. Mentor project engineers and staff, supporting estimating and preconstruction efforts as needed.
Required Qualifications
- 5-10+ years of project management experience in heavy civil construction
- Proven experience managing projects involving one or more of the following: Earthwork, Underground Utilities, Roadway & Highway Construction, Site Development, Concrete Structures, Public Infrastructure
- Strong understanding of project financials, scheduling, contracts, and risk management
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred (or equivalent industry experience)
- Experience with one or more of the following software platforms: HCSS HeavyJob, HCSS HeavyBid, Agtek, B2W, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, AutoCAD Civil 3D (basic understanding)
