Job Summary
Lead civil-engineering design for municipal, commercial, and residential infrastructure; develop civil site drawings (site plans, grading, utilities, drainage); evaluate design alternatives considering costs and constraints; perform calculations and prepare construction drawing specifications; use CAD/engineering tools to prepare documents; develop conceptual site layouts and ensure compliance with local planning, zoning, and permitting requirements; collect and complete permit documents and sign/seal drawings as required; collaborate with clients and public agencies throughout the project lifecycle; require a BS in civil engineering, Texas PE license, and 5+ years of experience in civil design; proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and MS Office; strong communication and organizational skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from an accredited college or university
- Professional Engineer (PE) designation in the state of Texas
- 5 or more years of previous experience in civil engineering design
- Experience with AutoCAD-Civil 3D and MS Office
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, oral, and written communication skills
