Job Summary
Project Manager for large-scale commercial construction projects in the Chattanooga, TN region. Lead in developing high-performance teams, provide coaching and mentoring, and ensure timely performance appraisals. Manage owner, architect, and subcontractor communications related to project risks, timetables, costs/budgets, and change management. Define scope, staffing requirements, work plans, schedules, bid packages, and the CM bid process; participate in hard bid teams as needed. Establish project goals for schedule, safety, accounting, labor relations, and data reporting; maintain client relationships and coordinate planning services (estimating, scheduling, value engineering, reporting). Oversee subcontract agreements, trade contractor relations, and ensure proper service delivery to the client. Emphasize safety on site and support business development through leveraging professional networks and client relationships. Requires a Bachelor's degree and at least five years of leadership in commercial construction, plus relevant training in CM/PM/Safety/Communication and strong collaboration across internal/external stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
- Minimum five (5) years of commercial construction experience in a leadership role
- Successful completion of classes or training in Construction Management, Project Management, Safety, or Communications
- Ability to interact with internal and external customers in different situations
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook)
