Job Summary
The Project Manager will support an evaluation-capacity building project for veteran-serving organizations focused on upstream public health suicide-prevention programs. Responsibilities include formulating program goals and governance standards, serving as primary liaison between internal/external stakeholders, managing grantmaking activities (RFPs, contracting, invoicing, reporting and dissemination), overseeing budget forecasting and financial reporting, recruiting and mentoring staff, delivering deliverables and briefings to donors and partners, supporting design and implementation of performance and impact evaluations, guiding capacity-building for funded VSOs, and contributing to resource mobilization. The role requires Master’s degree, 10+ years of project management experience, strong communication, partnership development, and experience in monitoring/evaluation; travel up to 10% domestically; remote work within the United States.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in public health, public administration, community development, or related field required
- Minimum of ten years of project management experience
- Strong project management and grant management skills
- Experience with partnership engagement and relationship stewardship
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for complex donor reports and external briefs
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in teams
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills and professional demeanor
- Experience with capacity building and training activities in public health contexts
- Experience with monitoring and evaluation and integrating evidence-building into upstream public health programs
