Job Summary
Project Manager for Carter Global Power responsible for the planning, execution, and delivery of complex distributed power generation projects from award through operational handover. Oversees projects to ensure on-time delivery, budget adherence, safety, quality, and customer satisfaction across data centers, utilities, industrial, oil and gas, and other mission-critical markets. Requires strong technical knowledge of power generation systems (diesel/natural gas engines, electrical distribution, transfer switches, switchgear, fuel systems, emissions controls, balance of plant) and familiarity with Energy-as-a-Service, PPA, or long-term contracted models. Manages multiple vendors and cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, global environment, with proficiency in PM tools (MS Project/Planner, MS SharePoint, Procore, Jira) and Microsoft Office. Travel 25-50% and excellent communication, planning, and negotiation skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related technical field
- Minimum five years of progressive project management experience in power generation, energy infrastructure, or heavy industrial construction
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must be willing and able to travel 25-50%

- Experience with Caterpillar, Solar Turbines, or similar OEM power systems (strong plus)
- Experience building utility-grade or mission-critical power infrastructure (data centers, utility-scale, large industrial) (plus)
- Background in rental generator deployments or temporary/bridge power solutions (preferred)
- Strong technical knowledge of power generation systems (diesel/natural gas engines, electrical distribution, switchgear, fuel systems, emissions controls, balance of plant)
- Familiarity with Energy-as-a-Service, PPA, or long-term contracted power delivery models
- Project coordination across multi-vendor environments
- Proficiency with project management tools (MS Project/Planner, MS SharePoint, Procore, Jira or equivalent) and Microsoft Office
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Strong negotiation, conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Willingness to travel 25-50%
- Ability to manage budgets, forecasts, and margins
- Experience managing complex, multi-vendor projects in power generation or heavy industrial sectors
- Self-starter with proactive work ethic
- Ability to interact with executives and technical teams
