Job Summary
Project Manager overseeing capital-construction and facilities initiatives in Reno, NV. Manages multiple small to mid-size projects from planning through closeout, coordinating internal stakeholders, contractors, and vendors, with a focus on safety and execution against scope, budgets, and schedules. Responsibilities include developing project scopes and execution plans, maintaining documentation (status reports, invoices, budgets), monitoring critical-path milestones, coordinating vendor RFPs, reviewing contractor/subcontractor performance, conducting site visits, ensuring safety-first execution, and supporting financial/margin performance. Preferred background in biopharma, research labs, or vivarium facilities; degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management is strongly preferred; LEED/AIA/PE/PMP certifications are a plus.
Required Qualifications
- 4–7 years of experience in project management or construction management
- Proven experience managing capital construction projects
- Background in construction, mechanical systems, or facilities environments
- Ability to develop, track, and manage project budgets
- Strong understanding of construction and renovation processes
- Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with contractors, engineers, architects, and client stakeholders
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required
