Job Summary
Plan, coordinate, and support the delivery of organisational projects by defining scope, objectives, and success measures with stakeholders. Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and registers while monitoring progress, identifying risks, and escalating issues as needed. Coordinate activities across teams, contractors, and external partners to ensure timely delivery, manage change implementation, and prepare clear updates for leaders. Contribute to budget tracking, resource planning, and continuous improvement by reviewing outcomes and capturing lessons learned. This role works closely with the Executive Leadership Group to strengthen organisational capability and improve systems. You will operate in a flexible hours schedule (76 per fortnight) at Capability Head Office Canberra and/or Brisbane.
Required Qualifications
- Experience coordinating or managing projects in a community services, disability, health, education or not-for-profit environment
- Strong organisational, planning and time-management skills
- Experience developing project plans, reports, risk registers and implementation documentation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear updates for different audiences
- Ability to build positive working relationships and influence stakeholders in a professional and respectful manner
- Ability to manage competing priorities, solve problems and maintain momentum in a busy environment
- Willingness to learn, take initiative and contribute to continuous improvement
- Relevant qualification in project management, business, community services or a related field
- Ability to maintain client, staff and stakeholder confidentiality
- Valid Working with Vulnerable People Registration ACT, and/or Queensland Blue Card, or ability to gain this
- Valid CYF clearance, or ability to gain this
- Valid police check, or ability to gain this
- Drivers' license
