Job Summary
Lead project management for institutional and commercial construction projects valued between $25M and $50M, overseeing daily operations, safety leadership, and subcontractor coordination. Plan schedules, control costs, and manage prime and subcontracts while reviewing financial performance and identifying revenue opportunities. Supervise team members through regular feedback and coaching, ensuring timely completion of performance evaluations and fostering positive relations with clients and consultants. Deliver monthly and quarterly reports on project status to senior management. Located in Edmonton, this role requires 5 to 10 years of experience in general contracting and proficiency with MS Project and Viewpoint.
Required Qualifications
- Institutional and commercial construction background
- Ability to look after project values of $25 - 50M
- 5 to 10 years of experience in a Project Management capacity
- Completed education in a construction-related discipline
- demonstrated, progressive experience in General Contracting
- direct project management of large institutional or commercial projects
- demonstrated competence in the areas of safety, workforce management, project execution, cost control, quality and administration
- Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedule
- Excellent computer skills and proficiency with MS Office including MS Project
