Job Summary
Project Manager to serve as primary contact to customers, establish and maintain schedules for drawings and delivery, coordinate with Shipping Departments, ensure drawings are returned from approval in a timely manner, identify and issue change orders for material and labor beyond original contract, review purchase orders and specifications for alignment with bid, address job-site or schedule problems to minimize cost impact, assist with change order administration, and travel to job sites and customer locations. Requires reading and interpreting contract drawings/specifications, knowledge of steel joist/deck industry standards, and strong problem-solving abilities.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret contract drawings and specifications (structural, miscellaneous, joist, deck)
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures
- Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
- Must have reliable transportation to visit job sites and customer locations
