Job Summary
Manage all aspects of construction projects from inception to completion, leading project teams while ensuring quality, cost, and schedule deliverables. Establish relationships with owners, architects, and trades; act as a liaison between internal and external stakeholders. Develop and manage project budgets, prepare cash-flow reports, and monitor payment certificates. Conduct site reviews, maintain baseline schedules, and track delays for extensions of time. Resolve contractual and technical issues with consultants and manage the change order process. Prepare monthly status reports, cost recon, and submittal logs. Apply for substantial performance and total completion, ensuring final monies are received. Assist in tendering and awarding trade contracts.
Required Qualifications
- Engineering degree (civil/construction/architectural) or technical college diploma in Construction Management or equivalent combination of technical training and/or related experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the ICI construction industry
- Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction, estimating, budgeting, scheduling, cost control, contract administration, technology, equipment, means and methods and general industry practices
- Strong understanding and adherence to safety standards
- Gold Seal Certified
- LEED Accredited
- Net Zero, WELL and Passive House
- Computer literate, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Project
- Suretrak, Primavera P3 or P6
- Axis Accounting Software
- Procore and BIM software knowledge
- Proficiency in project management software and tools
- Ability to analyze and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Familiarity with relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decision under pressure
