Job Summary
Project Manager and lead designer on bridge and structural projects in Indianapolis. Lead design from survey through construction, perform design calculations for roadway and bridge components, prepare cost estimates and manage project budgets, oversee plan development, and coordinate with INDOT staff, local government agencies, and consulting partners. Manage multiple projects, lead design teams (PEs, EIs, Techs), and ensure compliance with NEPA requirements. Require a Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, 8+ years of bridge design and project management experience, Indiana PE licensure (or ability to obtain), and proficiency with MicroStation, InRoads/ORD, Merlin-Dash, Vslab, Conspan/Leap Bridge, and MS Office. Strong analytical, time-management, and collaboration skills; capable of working in both in-office and remote settings; preferred experience with INDOT/INDOT LPA, DPW, utility and railroad coordination, and asset management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
- 8+ years’ bridge design and Project Management experience
- Professional Engineering License in Indiana or ability to obtain licensure in Indiana
- Design skills for rural, urban, and interstate bridges; roadway design; cost estimating; special provisions; specifications; value engineering
- Knowledge of NEPA for federally funded projects
- Experience with MicroStation, InRoads or ORD, and MS Office
- Experience with bridge design software (Merlin-Dash, Vslab, Conspan/Leap Bridge or equivalents)
- Ability to think critically, manage time, problem solve
- Strong data analysis and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Ability to work in in-office and remote settings
