Job Summary
Manage bridge design projects from initiation through completion, leading internal teams and coordinating with subconsultants, clients, and reviewing agencies. Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and resource plans while monitoring financials, invoicing, and profitability. Oversee preparation of plans, reports, and technical documents in compliance with DOT and client standards, ensuring QA/QC procedures are followed. Serve as the primary client contact to maintain long-term relationships and facilitate coordination meetings. Mentor Deputy Project Managers, engineers, and technical staff while participating in business development and proposal preparation. Requires a PE license, 8+ years of roadway design experience, and proficiency in Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the state of employment (or ability to obtain reciprocity)
- 8+ years of roadway or transportation design experience
- Proven experience managing INDOT or municipal roadway projects
- Strong understanding of AASHTO and DOT design standards
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- familiarity with Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint
- Ability to lift up to 10–15 pounds
- Regular, reliable attendance and punctuality
