Job Summary
Lead large heavy civil infrastructure projects by coordinating daily management, controlling costs and schedules, and ensuring adherence to company policies. Provide safety leadership through the Bird Safety Program and monitor team and subcontractor performance. Plan, schedule, and control construction activities while supervising project team development via feedback, training, and performance evaluations. Administer prime and subcontracts, negotiate awards, and manage project budgets and billings with accounting. Generate monthly and quarterly financial performance reports for senior management and maintain communication with clients, consultants, and architects. This role is based in Sudbury, Ontario with a fly-in fly-out option available.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of direct project management experience on large-scale heavy civil infrastructure projects
- Post-secondary education in a construction-related discipline
- demonstrated, progressive experience in General Contracting
- Demonstrated leadership, project management and problem-solving skills
- Service and results-oriented mindset
- ability to build and steward trust with a broad network of professional colleagues, subcontractors and team members
- Demonstrated competence in the areas of safety, workforce management, project execution, cost control, quality and administration
- Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedule
- Excellent computer skills and proficiency with MS Office including MS Project
- Experience with Viewpoint Project Management system
