Job Summary

Direct and manage project development from beginning to end, defining scope, goals, and deliverables while allocating resources, defining schedules, and developing budgets. Administer contracts, coordinate procurement of materials and equipment, and manage specialized requirements such as certified payroll. Ensure conformance with plans, specifications, and user-defined requirements while maintaining cost objectives and gross margins. Complete project invoicing requests on a timely basis and coordinate with the Engineering Department for shop drawings, equipment submittals, and testing forms. Identify and resolve issues, manage dependencies and critical paths, and proactively manage scope changes or crises. Estimate change orders, write proposals, and draft revised budgets. Coordinate end user training, conduct project closeouts, and create recommendations reports. Build business relationships and provide sales leads to the Sales and Service teams. 20-30% travel requirement.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in project management
  • 8 years Low Voltage industry experience
  • 5 years supervisory experience in low voltage systems
  • Must maintain a valid drivers license
  • Must maintain a clear background check
  • Must be willing to submit to all vaccinations and screening tests required for customer jobsite badging protocol
  • Must maintain a clear drug and alcohol screening protocol
  • 20-30% travel requirement
  • Experience managing multiple team members within the industry
  • Technically competent with various software programs, such as Microsoft Office, including Outlook, and Excel
  • Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Able to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Reacts to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently
  • Flexible during times of change
  • Ability to read communication styles of team members and contractors who come from a broad spectrum of disciplines
  • Adept at conducting research into project-related issues and products
  • Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies
  • The ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in difficult situations with employees with various personalities and emotions
  • Must understand implicit instructions and react favorably in all work situations
  • Must be mentally adaptable and flexible in dealing with a variety of people
  • Strong team player
  • Must be able to communicate providing verbal feedback in a professional manner
  • Ability to read and understand construction blueprints
  • Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to carry, set up and traverse a ladder up to 12 feet in height
