Job Summary
Manage pre-construction scheduling, review and approve project budgets, and negotiate subcontractor contracts to ensure profitability and cost control. Lead strategic planning, implement monthly cost reports, and research construction methods while actively resolving design conflicts with engineers and architects. Direct responsibility for subcontractors and field personnel, ensuring adherence to health and safety standards and maintaining a clean working environment. Solicit vendors, manage CAD and fabrication resources, and prepare SWOT analyses for current and future projects. Requires a Bachelor's degree or 10+ years of experience leading projects up to $15M, with proficiency in Microsoft Projects, P6, and Bluebeam. Based in Charleston, SC, this role involves daily coordination with superintendents and maintaining client relationships within a fast-paced office environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university
- 10 + years of related experience and/or training
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5 years of experience in the construction field leading project that are up to $15 M in scope
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills
- Consistent dependability and availability
- Ability to work in a fast-paced construction office environment
- Ability to organize and curate documents related to work orders and personnel
- Aptitude to learn new systems
- Excellent ability in Microsoft Projects, Office, Excel, Word, etc.
- Mechanical Knowledge
- Project Management
- Ability to prepare a SWOT Analysis for projects and future projects
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
- Must be able to travel to Charlston, SC
- Must be able to work in a typical office environment and miscellaneous field travel
