Job Summary
Lead the planning, delivery, and successful completion of infrastructure and capital projects from inception through close-out. Develop and maintain project plans, programmes, budgets, forecasts, and performance reporting while managing scope, risks, issues, change control, and governance. Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and build relationships with clients, stakeholders, suppliers, and contractors to ensure safe, efficient, and client-aligned outcomes. Monitor performance, implement corrective actions, and oversee procurement, commercial, and contract management activities including NEC contracts. Manage handover, lessons learned, and continuous improvement initiatives. Requires 5+ years of experience in infrastructure, engineering, or capital projects, typically with APM PMQ or PRINCE2 Practitioner certification.
Required Qualifications
- Degree qualified or equivalent industry experience
- 5+ years' experience delivering infrastructure, engineering or capital projects
- Proven experience managing project scope, programme, cost, risk and change
- Strong understanding of project management governance, controls and delivery methodologies
- Experience on NEC contracts, including Early Warnings and Compensation Events
- Strong stakeholder, client and supplier management capability
- Experience leading or coordinating multidisciplinary project teams
- APM PMQ, PRINCE2 Practitioner or equivalent qualification (or working towards)
Desired Qualifications
- Water and environmental infrastructure experience highly desirable
- Experience gained within regulated infrastructure sectors such as water, utilities, energy, aviation, rail, marine or major civil engineering projects
- Experience using CEMAR is advantageous
- Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills with the potential to develop into a Senior Project Manager role
