Job Summary
Consult with clients to determine functional and spatial requirements for new structures or renovations, then prepare detailed design specifications, cost estimates, and construction timelines. Visit project sites to assess existing conditions and integrate engineering elements into unified layouts for client review. Direct project personnel to ensure progress within prescribed budgets and schedules, while representing the client in bid processes and awarding construction contracts. Administer construction contracts through periodic on-site observations to monitor compliance with approved plans. Prepare scale drawings, contract documents, and final quality assurance reviews using AutoCAD and Revit, signing and sealing all project documents under supervision.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Architect
- 8+ years of architecture design and project management experience
- Bachelor's degree from a five-year college or university
- Architectural license in respective state
- Current NCARB record
- Valid driver's license
- Satisfactory driving record
- Knowledge of the art and science of designing buildings and structures
- Knowledge of styles of design
- Knowledge of methods of construction of buildings and other physical structures
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret written communication, specifications and drawings
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals or government regulations
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Proficiency in Revit
- Proficiency in other discipline specific software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products
