Job Summary
Serve as the single contractor point of contact for all VHA programmatic and operational requests related to the Elevated Risk Care Management program, ensuring timely and accurate responses to government stakeholders. Lead end-to-end program management activities including planning, initiating, executing, monitoring, and closing projects in alignment with the VA Office of Suicide Prevention's strategic objectives and contractual requirements. Develop and maintain comprehensive program documentation including project charters, integrated master schedules, risk registers, status reports, and stakeholder communication plans in accordance with federal program management standards. Coordinate and facilitate regular program reviews, working group meetings, and briefings with VA leadership, CORs, and cross-functional teams to track progress, surface risks, and drive resolution of programmatic issues. Monitor program performance against established KPIs and deliverable milestones, identifying variances and implementing corrective action plans to keep the program on track and compliant with contract obligations. Support continuous process improvement efforts by identifying operational inefficiencies, documenting lessons learned, and recommending evidence-based solutions that enhance care management delivery for Veterans at elevated suicide risk.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of experience managing large-scale programs or multi-project portfolios within a large corporation, government agency, or healthcare organization, including full lifecycle management from initiation through closeout
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Project Management, Healthcare Administration, Public Administration, Business, or a related field
- Ability to obtain and maintain VA network access and meet all background investigation requirements consistent with VA security and suitability standards for contractor personnel
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent quality certification (e.g., PgMP, CAPM with demonstrated senior-level experience, or Prince2 Practitioner)
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience supporting VA, VHA, or a federal behavioral health or suicide prevention program, with familiarity with OSP initiatives, Veteran care management frameworks, or related clinical program support
- Experience working within or alongside federal Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) oversight structures and demonstrated ability to manage deliverables under a federal Performance Work Statement (PWS)
- Familiarity with VA enterprise tools and systems such as VistA, CDW, or VA's Salesforce-based case management platforms used in care coordination workflows
- Experience applying Agile, hybrid, or iterative project management methodologies within a federal health IT or clinical program environment
- Knowledge of federal health policy, Veterans mental health initiatives, or behavioral health care management best practices that directly inform program design and execution decisions
