Job Summary
Develop and maintain a comprehensive project schedule for application development and integration initiatives, including weekly updates and realistic timeline creation. Collaborate with workstream leads, vendors, and stakeholders to gather deliverables, monitor progress, and drive action items, risks, and decisions to conclusion. Compile weekly status reports and conduct status meetings to assess project health and identify deviations. Manage change impacts and implement risk response strategies while leading team members to foster accountability and knowledge sharing. This hybrid onsite role in Orange, CA requires a PMP or equivalent experience with MS Project and Agile/Waterfall methodologies. Contract is up to six months with potential conversion to FTE.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, Information Systems or a related field
- Solid understanding of project management methodologies and tools
- Expert knowledge of MS-Project, Visio, and MS Office tools
- Proven experience as a Program or Project Manager with solid project planning with MS project
- Experience with application driven projects: app migrations, website/web app build, integration projects, etc.
- Experience with Agile or Waterfall methodologies
- Understanding of System Development Life Cycles
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Self-starting, with high attention to detail
- Skilled at tactfully driving and managing internal and external team interactions and vendor delivery
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be available for onsite every Wednesday
- Must be available for 3 total days onsite per month (Wednesday included)
- Must be able to work hybrid onsite in Orange, CA
Desired Qualifications
- PMP is a nice to have
- Familiarity with Health Plans organizations and processes
- Familiarity with the concept of Application Programming Interface (API)
