Job Summary
Manage assigned projects from pre-award through full life cycle, executing scope commitments and providing timely client service communication. Review purchase orders to estimates, coordinate RFIs and change orders to ensure billable accuracy, and produce schedules of values. Assist manufacturing and shipping by developing material and delivery sequences, while maintaining order files per established guidelines. Resolve client problems by taking ownership, explaining requirements and solutions, and proactively addressing issues like backorders or schedule moves. Work in both office and manufacturing environments with occasional travel under 25%, managing low to high-risk commitments across multiple product series.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree
- 5+ years project management experience
- 5+ years' industry experience
- Experience in managing projects in a manufacturing environment
- Thorough knowledge of ERP software
- Microsoft Office Suit (Outlook, Power Point, Word, Excel, Teams)
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Active listener
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Communicates information that is accurate, objective, and fact-based
- Negotiation skills
- Conflict management skills
- Problem solving skills
- Ability to develop project specific timelines showing milestones needed to meet client expectations
- Ability to develop project specific tasks to include plans to eliminate potential risks
- Ability to read shop and fabrication drawings
- Knowledge of product testing and performance requirements
- Occasional travel related to other sites / corporate / project sites – Less than 25%
- Ability to lift up to 10 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- 5+ years' industry experience is preferred
- Experience in managing projects in a manufacturing environment is preferred
- Continuous Improvement (CI) Training
- Commercial Construction experience
