Job Summary
Lead complex capital investment projects within the Capital Delivery team, taking ownership of multidisciplinary teams through the full project lifecycle. Embed a culture of safety by conducting regular site audits, investigating non-conformances, and ensuring compliance with Construction (Design and Management) Regulations. Deliver projects to required quality within agreed timescales and budget by managing NEC4 contracts, preparing project management plans, and balancing cost, risk, and performance. Build effective relationships with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders while resolving interdependencies and implementing corrective actions. Based at Head Office in Hatfield with regular travel to operational sites, this role supports operational resilience, regulatory compliance, and a reliable water supply for customers.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience delivering complex capital projects within the utilities, infrastructure or construction sectors
- Working knowledge and practical experience of administering NEC contracts
- Experience managing project risk, programme, cost and change
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
- Strong understanding of health, safety and environmental legislation, including the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations
- PRINCE2 Practitioner, APM PMQ, PMP or equivalent Project Management qualification
- IOSH, SMSTS or NEBOSH certification
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Regular travel to operational sites across the Affinity Water region
