Project Manager - Aerospace & Defense

Job Summary

Manage assigned aerospace and defense projects by understanding scope, visualizing customer goals, and communicating with clients, design teams, contractors, and agencies. Develop project scopes, prepare proposals and contracts, and plan activities, schedules, milestones, and cost projections using company platforms. Establish and control the firm's project budget, request staff allocations, and convey expectations to team members while leading and managing staff and consultants. Practice risk management, prepare bidding instructions and specifications, mentor technical leads, maintain documentation, assist with invoicing, and close out projects. Visit construction sites to monitor progress, review RFIs, and prepare status reports. Maintain the firm's project database and assist in marketing. Requires a licensed professional engineer or architect with five years of experience.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree, in Architecture, Engineering or Construction related field, from an accredited four-year college or university
  • Minimum of five (5) years related experience in areas as listed under essential duties and responsibilities
  • US Citizen or a Permanent Resident
  • Licensed professional engineer or architect
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
  • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Windows, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, and Word
