Job Summary
Manage multi-discipline design teams to produce high-quality deliverables, meet schedules, and stay within project budgets for transit rail projects in the NY Metro area. Coordinate construction phase services for both design-build and design-bid-build projects while overseeing development of project design schedules and cost estimates. Respond to client-issued RFQs and RFPs to assist in marketing for Transit Rail pursuits. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders to drive project success. Mentor staff and act as a visible leader promoting AECOM's values. This role requires becoming a certified AECOM Project Manager within one year of hire. The position is based in the New York, New York area with a hybrid work model.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Engineering
- Four (4) years of relevant project management experience
- demonstrated equivalency of experience &/or education
- Experience managing schedule, budget, and technical quality of projects
- Must be based in New York, New York area
- Must attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location as a condition of employment
Desired Qualifications
- Eight (8) years of experience in transit/rail/transportation
- Professional Licenses (i.e. - PE, RA)
- Experience with Design Build projects
- Development of bridging documents for Design-Build projects
- Experience with NY metro rail agencies including MTA, PANYNJ and NJ Transit
- Excellent client management abilities
- Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor staff
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to complete varied work tasks on schedule
