Job Summary
Lead project teams and sub-teams on government advisory engagements from planning through wrap-up, ensuring delivery strictly to contract specifications, timelines, and budgets. Develop and manage artifacts such as Work Breakdown Schedules, RAID logs, compliance tracking matrices, and multi-supplier communication plans. Facilitate meetings, capture agendas and minutes, and oversee discovery, stakeholder elicitation, and future-state design. Conduct market scans and synthesize data into client-ready deliverables, technical specs, and executive presentations. Mentor Senior Associates, Associates, and Interns; drive methodology innovation and contribute to firm tools. Maintain open client communications, support proposal development, and manage out-of-scope tasks. Qualifications include 5+ years in public sector project delivery, experience with modernization projects or cloud migrations, procurement cycle familiarity, and PMP certification (highly valued).
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive professional experience in management consulting or project management delivering in the public sector (state/local or higher education)
- Experience with enterprise system modernization projects or migration to cloud-based platforms (e.g., Workday, PeopleSoft, Tyler Technologies or similar SaaS/SOP architectures)
- Familiarity with formal public sector procurement cycles, including development of Statements of Need, RFI/RFP document assembly, and vendor evaluation tracking
- Active Project Management Institute PMP Certification and associated change management credentials are highly valued
